The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has received technical and funding support from the NDC Partnership through Conservation International, UNDP Liberia through its Climate Promise Initiative, the European Union through the EU Climate Alliance+ and the International Renewable Energy Agency(IRENA) to revise Liberia Nationally Determined Contributions(NDCs) to set new mitigation targets and actions, as well as track and monitor progress in NDC Implementation, and the inclusion of new/emerging sectors in the revised NDCs.
The EPA Intends to use portion of the funding to recruit a National Convener.
The National Convener, Liberia’s NDC revision process will provide a short-term service for to implement technical meetings and workshop to facilitate and ensure the successful planning, preparation, organization and reporting on the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Regional workshop to be organized by the Government of Liberia through the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia and Conservation International, the United Nations Development Programme through the Climate Promise Initiative, and the European Union through the EU Climate Alliance+ and the International Renewable Energy Agency(IRENA).
